Reflections of a fourth generation east villager bouncing back and forth from Tompkins Square Park to her outer city pad in Strawberry Fields....

Strawberry Fields
Well, we are almost moved in.
You can't see the East Village from our windows, that's for sure. For the purposes of my blog and my soul, I will now refer to my new outer city location as Strawberry Fields. It's fitting on so many levels...as I will come to explain over time.
God is good -- we live below someone who plays a large grand piano and they play beautifully -- even when they screw up and play the same line over and over again. Our windows are open and the music simply floats in.

Enjoy your new experiences! The best of both worlds (sort of)-- a city pad and a spread-out pad. I'll be interested to see if the city keeps its hold on you. I'm betting it will. :)
Welcome to your new home, evi! At one point, we had a friend who was between apartments living with us for a while. He was going to violin making school at the time, and besides doing dishes for us, would often be playing the violin at various times. So after a long day at work, we would hear beautiful violin music wafting down the hall as we approached our front door.
It sounds relaxing.
Oh, I wish you much joy and many fun filled memories in your new place.
I forgot to write back a long time ago when you posted a comment about writing to Scott Stringer about the banks going up on the UWS.
I read an article in the NYT that a realtor was bundling the small storefronts for big buyers, like banks.
Sad. Anyway, thanks for commenting.
Perfect Girl
I miss you! Hope all is going well.
Hope all is well, evi. How are things going for everyone?
