CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN
"Mommy, I don't understand why adults keep talking about if a person is black will other people vote for him. What difference does it make what color someone is or if somebody is a boy or a girl? It just matters if they are the best person for the job. Why do adults waste time talking about this stuff?"
--- Ben, my ten year old son
He'll be coming with us when we got to vote tomorrow. We always bring him to vote. It's important and we want him to know it's important.

i bring my kids, too. i wouldn't vote without them. the night feels anticipatory. i'm nervous, hopeful . . . .
Your son gives me hope that the next generation won't be nearly as effed up as previous ones.
Keep doing what you are doing to make him so cool.
I agree with Ben. I also am glad not to be running for office for if I was judged by the actions of some of my relatives, neighbors, ministers. . .
I have always taken my boys with me when I voted and always talked to them about my reasons for choosing my candidate.
My two oldest are voting for the first time today. I am very proud to know they have really done their research and they have very solid reasons why they are voting "O" today.
Don't you wish many more adults were as smart as Ben??!!
I have brought my daughter since she was born! Ben is one smart kid. Much like his parents, I suspect.
Go "O"!
