Crazy Hot

Is it just that my life is so crazy right now that I'm noticing the abundance of mentally ill homeless wandering the East Village and Tompkins Square Park?

Many of them are dehydrated and disheveled. Right here in the financial center of the world.

I notice that in the winter too. It reminds me of a song that Bono sings from the hurricane in New Orleans.
One part of the songs lyrics states: "A sign says: Please I am an American."

This weather bites. I like summer, but on sweaty days like this I feel like a braised chicken breast.

... More importantly, how's Megan?

har - it's pretty depressing. some people say that you measure a country's governance by how they treat their poor and disenfranchised. What grade would we get?

michael - NYC is not a great place to be when it's super hot because it's also super stinky! Thanks for asking about Megan. She seems to be okay but she will be watched closely for the next six months. I still don't feel we are totally out of the woods yet. Luckily I'll be able to see her before I take off for the rest of the month.
