None of Your Bee's Wax

Colony Collapse Disorder....apparently a whole lot of bees are dropping dead in the United States. If there aren't any bees to pollinate fruit and vegetable plants we are screwed. Much to the surprise of many New Yorkers, we cannot live on diet coke and survive.

Some possible reasons for bees dropping dead - genetic engineering of plants, pesticides, other weird stuff that sucks.

The United States seems to be going to hell in a handbasket.

I have posted a photo of my hive on my sight. If you enlarge it you can see the bees going in.
I don't know what to say about yours and Michael's posts. It's such a sad state of affairs.
When my 4 apple trees were in bloom I would stand there and watch MY bees (which still blows my mind) in the blossoms. It was a magical sight.

I figure the whole world is going through colony collapse disorder. Seriously.

I had just heard about this. Rapture Cafe sent news of this in their e-newsletter. They were blaming the phenomenon on cell phone usage.

according to the speaker at our monthly bee meeting tonight, the cell phone theory has been disproved.
The interesting fact is that once the bees leave the hive no new bees will come in to steal the honey (something that bees like to do). They seem to act like the honey is tainted and will not touch it.
